Fall (maybe)

Miss Diamond came in last night limping on her back paw. I checked all the paws and paw pads but there were no burrs or splinters or cuts that I could see, so perhaps she landed wrong on it.

She's staying in and taking it easy today and we'll see about tomorrow. However, as she wasn't feeling well, and as it was cold out, it meant both cats wanted to spend the night on the bed with me.

They still don't get along well enough for that. So it was a bit of a Fright Night.

As it's Halloween today...

Halloween

Ms. Twitch and the moon are (c) 2008 by Brandi's Creations. The buildings are (c) 2008 by Chaos Priestess from her Night of the Dead kit, and the rest of the scraps are from the Got Sugar? Blog Train.

Since Roweena wanted fall layouts, here we go...

Turkey Day Hoot

Autumn,Owl,Thanksgiving

This owl and most of the scraps was the from the "Saturday in the Park" Add-On from Two Divas that I got off Digi-Free.

Additional scraps were from the Autumn Blessing kit by SeaChell Scraps. The Alpha is by Misschifis.

The Pilgrim hat was a piece of clipart I snagged from Pastiche Family Portal.

Autumn Princess

Autumn,Fantasy,Fairies

This is from the kit by the same name from LK Designs a.k.a. Sophisticated Scraps. Aside from the nice tubes that came with it, it's got some really stunning fall items for you scrapping or tagging pleasure.

Scarecrow Fall

Autumn

The scarecrows are a freebie by April Cotton which I got off Digifree. The Scraps are from the SNS Fall Blog Train.

SnowBear

Winter

Sorry. The little bear is (c) 2008 by Brandi's Creations. The Santa Hat is courtesy of the Maltese Scrapper and the word art is from LK Winters.

The rest of the scraps are from Scrappy Lover's "Snowflake" scrapkit.

T-13 Masquarade (Part III)

The Masquarade was held at Castle Diamond and all who participated felt it was REALLY hard!

To disguise the cats and dogs, I ran then though Photoshop, altering in the coat colors in many cases and then adding a filter effect.

For Scraps, Scrappy Redhead has four "Not Really Halloween" kits: From Dusk to Dawn, Alabaster Daze, Autumn Nights and Nocturnal. All of Redhead's kits can be found at Scrap Happiness.

I used the masks from Scrappy Lover's Showtime kit except as noted below.

11. Powder, of Perfectly Parker looks perfectly stunning on the stage, don't you think?

Calico Cat,Howl-N-Scream

Photobucket

I used the torn paper filter on Powder, I think. The background paper is from Alabaster Daze, the rest of the scraps are from SL's Showtime kit.

Black Gold Alpha was a freebie from Bizee Digital Arts.

12. Nina is Victor Tabbycat's new little sisfur.

Howl-N-Scream

Photobucket

The glowing edge effect and the black coat threw everyone. The scraps are from SR's Nocturnal kit, except for the buttons and the mask, which are from the SL's Showtime kit.

The Diamond Alpha was from Jobeth at JW Scraps.

13. Jimmy Joe hails from Jimmy Joe's Pad.

Howl-N-Scream

Photobucket

He's discovered it's not easy being green. I changed colors and then used the poster edge effect on him.

The scraps are from the Autumn Nights and the Alabaster Daze (Spider, candle) kits, except for the mask as noted above and the frame and the frame background, which are from SL's Showtime kit.

The Fall Felt Alpha was from Miss Crow/Clever Crow Design Studio.

So...now you can understand why I'm more than excited by the prospect of using ploppers for next week's T-13. After this little scrapping extravaganza, I need a rest!

T-13 Masquarade (Part II)

The Masquarade was held at Castle Diamond and all who participated felt it was REALLY hard!

To disguise the cats and dogs, I ran then though Photoshop, altering in the coat colors in many cases and then adding a filter effect.

For Scraps, Scrappy Redhead has four "Not Really Halloween" kits: From Dusk to Dawn, Alabaster Daze, Autumn Nights and Nocturnal. All of Redhead's kits can be found at Scrap Happiness.

I used the masks from Scrappy Lover's Showtime kit except as noted below.

6. Dakota from The Chronicle of Woos.

I think this who OP Pack mean when they say "Our Girl" but it was sort of let slip she'd be part of this week's T-13. Titus was good guess for this one though, but it wrong guess.

Howl-N-Scream

Photobucket

The scraps were from the From Dusk Till Dawn kit, expect for the Bat, which is (c) 2008 by Brandi's Creations and the Mask, which is (c) 2008 from Designs from Helly and is part of her Gypsy kit.

I had to edit the mask in Photo Shop to fit her face, as Dakota is not looking directly at the camera.

The Alpha is the Aged Embossed Alpha from Free Digital Scrapbooking.

7. Grete is also from Cory Cat Talks blog.

I kept singing "Her name was Lola, she was a showdog..." while I was dressing Grete up. LoL!

Howl-N-Scream,Dog

Photobucket

I used the neon edge filter to turn her black. She's a bit of an oddity, as all the scraps came from Scrappy Lover's Showtime kit. The Diamond Alpha is by JoBeth from JW Scraps.

8. Georgia is of course Mickey the Black Cat's beautiful little sisfur.

Howl-N-Scream

Photobucket

I used the Alabaster Daze kit on Miss Georgia, played with her coat color a bit, and then added the poster edge filter to her. she's still pretty recognizable as a torti though, the question is, which one?

The mask is (c) 2008 by Tracy King. The Vineyard Cardboard Alpha is from Carjazi Scraps.

9. Scout is from Little Cat Feet was out scouting the lady cats!

Howl-N-Scream

Photobucket

I used the find edges filter to get this effect after he'd been turned blue.

The background paper I think is from the "From Dusk Till Dawn" kit, the moon is from the "Dancin' in the Dark" mini-kit and the frame and the tarantula are from the Nocturnal kit. The Black Gold alpha is from Bizee Digi-Art.

10. Grayson knows it's It's all about meow.

Howl-N-Scream

Photobucket

I'd used Gandalf for Blue Wednesday in House Panthers because I had bigger first to fry with Grayson. The spider and the web are from Alabaster Daze, as is the candle, I think. The background paper is from Nocturnal and the frame is from Scrappy Redhead's Midnight Acquantiance 2 kit.

Mask (c) 2008 by Tracy King. As with Dakota above, the Alpha is from Free Digital Scrapbooking.

T-13 Masquarade (Part I)

The Masquarade was held at Castle Diamond and all who participated felt it was REALLY hard!

To disguise the cats and dogs, I ran then though Photoshop, altering in the coat colors in many cases and then adding a filter effect.

For Scraps, Scrappy Redhead has four "Not Really Halloween" kits: From Dusk to Dawn, Alabaster Daze, Autumn Nights and Nocturnal. All of Redhead's kits can be found at Scrap Happiness.

I used the masks from Scrappy Lover's >Showtime kit except as noted below.

1. Halloween. I thought it approriate, since we are celibrating Halloween, to start out with Halloween the Cat.

Howl-N-Scream

Photobucket

I used the Poster Edge filter on Halloween, as I figured she'd be obscure enough to begin with.

This made use of the From Dusk to Dawn kit, although the spider is from the Albaster Daze kit. It's the only kit with a spider, so all the spiders in these pieces came from that kit.

Black Gold Alpha was a freebie from Bizee Digital Arts.

2. Scotchy is from Kellykat's Korner.

Howl-N-Scream

Photobucket

For Scotchy, I used the find edges filter, which turned him white, as a side effect. The Mask is (c) 2008 by Tracy King, and I used the Alabaster Daze kit for the scraps.

The Tattered Alpha is from Kittycat Designs.

3. Thompson came to dance with the stars from the Cat's Eye blog.

I'm surprised more fursons did not guess this one as he has a very distinctive beauty mark on his nose, even when it was turned hot pink, and is, of course, missing a front leg. I guess the bush did a better job of hiding that than I thought!

Howl-N-Scream

Photobucket

All the scraps are from the Nocturnal kit, except the mask, as noted above. The Hallow Alpha is by AllieKat Creations.

4. Madison is from Cory Cat Talks. Cory guessed that this was his brother and he was correct.

Howl-N-Scream

Photobucket

I only changed the gray part of his coat and left the white as it was. I kind of like the raspberry color I ended up with.

The Scraps are from the Autumn Night's kit, except the Dragonfly, which is from the Alabaster Daze kit (and the mask, of course).

The Fall Felt Alpha was from Miss Crow/Clever Crow Studios.

5. Rudy is Perfectly Parker's well behaved mancat brofur, and quite the mancat round the ballroom as well.

I guess dressing in formal black caught everyone off guard! It was obtained by using the glowing edges filter.

Howl-N-Scream

Photobucket

The scraps are from the Nocturnal kit, except for the bat, which is (c) 2008 by Brandi's Creations, and the mask, which is from Tracy King (Florescent Jellybeans). Of interest on the Nocturnal kit, is that there is a bat in the preview, but it's not included as part of the kit.

The Painted Fall Alpha was a freebie from Tempusfugit.

Rufus & Witchy Pooh

Halloween

This is Rufus the patchwork cat from Silent Dreamer's Halloween Rufus kit. I added in some puffy elements form the Creature Comfort's kit from Scrap Outside the Box to finish off the piece, as I wanted to make him holding some candy.

The word art was from the Got Candy? Blog Train collab kit.

Halloween

In this one I used the Pumpkin and Rufus from the Halloween Rufus kit, but used Scrappy Lover's Witchy Pooh kit for everything else. I like the little patchwork cat, but the Halloween Rufus it itself is a little low on scraps, IMHO.

Because we need a little Christmas...

Rowena says "Oh no, you are so ahead of the game. Whatever happened to Thanksgiving?"

I said I was working on that, but I had all these Christmas freebies I wanted to play with...

X-Moose

Winter,Christmas

This was made with the Snow Fun kit from Kittz Kreations.

I have several kits from the the same Designer, which kind of surprised me. This one was snowman kit that I didn't have to pay for. LOL!

I do so like the little Moosie!

Meow!

Christmas,Winter

How to stop Rowena in her tracks...first she's like: "I'm gonna send that to my husband."

Then she said "No I'm not, he'll want me to dress that way."

The Christmas Kitten poser is (c) 2008 by Perfect Posers. The Scraps are from the really cute Mice Xmas Freebie from Bel Vidotti that I told you about yesterday. The alpha was a new one I just got as a freebie from Amber Gray Designs.

Beary Merry Christmas

Winter,Christmas

Christmas Pastels do nothing for me, but in all honesty, this turned out really cute. The little bears are (c) 2008 by Loli Disneys, the scraps are from Winter Wonderland by Simply Sensational Scraps. The Alpha is from Free Digital Scrapbooking.

Pink Angel

Christmas,Winter

This one on the other hand, needs some work. The angle is from Aussie Scraps (c) 2008, and the Pink Christmas papers and elements were by Seachell's Scraps, and lacks....something.

Cocoa Chalet

Winter

This little design come to us from the "Cocoa Chalet" scrapkit, which is done by Kel's Creations.

Playful Penguins

Winter

Another of Kittz Kreations, this time with little penguins - although there's a few snowmen in it too.

Santa's Workshop

Christmas,Winter

Yet ANOTHER of Kittz Kreations. I think her preview looks more like the overall kit though than this tag does. There's only the one piece of silk background paper, for example.

The Mr. and Mrs. in this tag are my Grands, who did the round at Shaker Square in Ohio when they were both alive. After he retired, it became somewhat of a career for my Granddad, who'd spend the the summer watching children's shows just so he know what kind of toys were coming out and could talk to the kids about them.

He had a horse drawn sleigh though. No reindeers in Ohio it seems.

I do like all the little charms she put in, despite the fact that I only used three. And the pressies are nice. I think I'll be working with this one a lot over the next few weeks.

Winter

Winter

The papers in this are kind of nice, but I'm not overwhelmed on the whole by this one, which is the Winter Kit 2 by Saxonia44.

The extra snowflakes are from Tiffany Kennedy at Scrappiles of Digi Style.

That does it for my little look at Christmas. I still have more freebie kits to play with, but this gives you an idea of what's available out there.

Happy Ewe-L Season!

Hooray! Hooray! I did it! I built my first sheep! WooooHooooo!

I think there's an easier way to do it and it's not the best job ever, but hey! You have to start somewhere!

Winter,Christmas

Oh, yeah. And it's very corny.

The Template was from Farrah's Creations, the patterns for the sheep came from Bluedream Designs Winter Wonderland freebie, and the scraps came from O Christmas Tree by Candy's Treats!

Yeah! My first Sheep!

Now, if only I can figure out how to re-grout a bathroom wall....

Dark Days

As I mentioned in my previous post, when I want goth...real goth, I inevitably head back to Yarrow, Chaos Priestess and Tizzy's Angel.

Foresaken

Gothic

This first piece though uses Soxsational Scraps Poisoned tagkit, with the little Dead Headz. I actually bought the Goth Tube from Incognito and have yet to use the posers from it. I like the G.I.Babe poser better, or the ones from Sophisticated Imaging.

G.I. Babe is, of course, (c) 2008 by Perfect Posers and you can find her stuff at AussieScraps.com. She does not, as near as I can tell, have a blog.

BTW, while you're over at AussieScraps.com, check out the Joe Cool Bears from Scraps with Attitude. Me thinks I will need to pick those up come payday.

Darkness

Gothic

LK Designs (Sophisticated Imaging) has a Good Vs. Evil set. Yarrow has a kit called Opposites Attract. It should be match made in heaven, but I was not interested in Good or Light or Heaven. So we have the Evil part of LK's set, and the Dark half of Yarrow's kit, and my own little piece of Hell.

The Silver Gem Frames are also by Yarrow, and are available as a stand alone from Digital Chaos.

On a side note, I bought the full sized version of the kit and my computer was developing a bad case of Alheimer's trying to process this tag. Maybe I should just stick to tagger sized stuff?

Violet Babe

Gothic

I like Yarrow's Gothique Violet Add-On so much I bought the whole kit and of course love that too. I went with the G.I. Babe poser again, (c) 2008 by Perfect Posers.

And I really wanted use that dagger in a tag...I really like that dagger.

The candles and the rain are from Bluedream Design's Gothic Confusion freebie, although I suspect she got the templates for them from Yarrow and just recolored them, as I've seen that candle in red in one of Yarrow's kits, long before Bluey got it.

I do like the way that turned out. Maybe I'll use it next month as my default picture on Myspace.

Victorian Goth

Gothic

I think I like Romance novels because I love the idea of strong male character who's going to come in and take care of all my problems. Hah.

That's why all romance novels are works of fiction.

And of course I like Regency or Victorian romance much better than modern day, but that's just me.

Anyway...somewhere in my internet travels I happened upon a link to LC Tube Store. It's Lacy Clagg's store but she also has Sharon Becker in as a artist. She has some interesting tubes I need to consider purchasing, but for the moment, they also have some interesting freebies.

Victoria was her first attempt at a 3D poser, and I'd say she did alright. You might want to note that Lacy's freebies are all in PSP format. The AD posers the Victoria freebie are in .png.

For the scraps I used Bluey's Gothic Confusion Freebie which is a fairly decent little Goth kit, despite what she thinks.

So...that was all just a little bit of soul soothing Goth.

Four Fae

Having finished with kitty cat dress up, I sort of went off. I'm kind of in a dark mood, so some of these tags are very moody.

Counting sheep

Fairies,Night

This is one is not one of the moody ones. I got the little clip art sheep from Farrah's Creations along with a template to "Build your own Sheep". I love these little templates and one of these days, I'm going to build all kinds of stuff...I promise. (Farrah also has a "Commercial Use Hooters" template that I absolutely must get!)

The Fae is (c) 2008 by Incognito. The Scraps are from Urban Mermaid's "Fairy Dream's in the Moonlight" (taggers) kit.

I am very fond of sheep, but counting them does litle for me. I had another tough time getting to sleep last night.

Betrayed Spirit

Fairies,Gothic

I used the "Painted Lady" poser which is (c) 2008 by Perfect Posers. I also used Soxsational Scrap's Toxic Kit and threw in the little snookem, just because I really like him.

I saw those little dolls on sale in one of the boutiques...Poisoned Princess in the CU section. They're all designed by Angie's Asylum and are collectively refered to as "Dead Headz".

A lot of the goth word art in these kits comes from Angie's Asylum as well, including the "Betrayed Spirit" word art used in this tag.

Minutes 2 Midnight

Fairies,Fantasy

The "Fantasy Fae" is (c) 2008 by LK Designs and was a freebie off Sophisticated Imaging. I used the "Minutes to Midnight" kit from Yarrow - this is the Cinderella themed kit.

Perhaps she is one of the Fairy Godmothers, gone a little wayward?

Enchanted Night

Fairies,Night

This was a really simple tag that took me a long time to make because I kept adding things, them taking them out, then moving them around, then...

Sometimes just leaving it simple gets you the best results.

I used the "Painted Lady" poser again (c) 2008 by Perfect Posers, although this time the scraps were by Chaos Priestess from her "Enchanted Night" scrapkit.

I've been playing with the Taggers Scraps girls for too long of late. If you really want goth, you can't get any better than Yarrow, Chaos Priestess and Tizzy's Angel.

BTW it is Wacky Wednesdays at Taggers, with freebies. Also Designer Scraps is having a 40% off sale through November 1st, and Ahhh Scrap is having a one day only dollar day sale.
