Raven and Breeze

Raven and Breeze are both (c) by Lacy Clagg. The idea behind using what are essentially Halloween elements was to do dark valentines, and I don't think they really came out that way.

The first three tags use the "Broken Wing" taggers kit by Just a Girl's Designs. Tam writes of the kit: "This kit is gear towards those who are not too fond of Valentine Days. It's for the girl who has had her heart broken - been cheated on, lost a lover to another.......Or just in a I HATE MEN mood ( note my little voodoo doll ) LOL"

In part because of the name and in part because of Raven, I ended up doing the tags around the Jimi Hendrix tune "Little Wing", and it ended up looking sweet, and not really broken hearted.

Since I actually did word art on the tags, they didn't get titles. LOL!

Little Wing 1

Little Wing 2

The carousel horse in this tag is from Farrah's Creations "Realistic Mish Mash 2", which is a commercial use element pack. Farrah's has been having dollar days at her store, and between Rose and I, we're going to end up owning just about everything Farrah's ever made before the month is out!

Well, okay, maybe not, but her commercial use stuff is very good and one day I will get to a point where I can produce my own elements. My main drawback has been the colorizing of things. There must be a trick to it that I don't know yet.

The Silver Alpha is from Crazed's Creations and was a blog freebie.

Little Wing 3

I went to US4T looking for alphas to finish this piece and ended up spending over $10! I think they're like the Target of the Digi-scrap World. I did get some alphas though, this one is from the "Lots Of Love" alpha pack by Michelle's Angels, which includes three alphas and a set of wax seals.

The mask is from the "Air Collection" by Cameron. All three of the masks on the Breeze tags are from the same collection.

I went with the "Grunge in Love" taggers kit from Heartbeatz Creationz for the next three tags. This is the best kit I've seen HC put out! Love the colors and it has some very beautiful and unique elements.

The "man in the moon" was done from a CU Template by Chaos Priestess and I colored it myself! LOL.

I screwed up the picture in the envelope frame a little bit, but not so you can really tell. I just thought I'd mention it in case you really did notice.

I almost did word art for this one, but couldn't figure out where to put it that it wouldn't muck up the piece, which was looking very nice.

So, no word arts. I love the butterflies (all three of them) that come in the kit.

Maybe these little imps are just too sweet for dark valentines? ::sigh:: It's okay, I've got other options...
