Step over to the Dark Side

When I'd first moved down into the Florida Keys, there was a lot of open homosexuality - including flaming drag queens on roll skates doing curb side service to cars on Duval Street. That was toned down over the years, especially with A.I.D.S. scare and while it remains a vacation destination for the gay crowd, the blatant displays have died off.

A sub culture to that were those couples into S&M. Off Duval Street, down a little side alley there was a leather shop that did custom work. While the display pieces in their window were pretty tame, walking into the store was a bit of an eye opener. I mean...I'd sort messed around with bondage, on and off - who hasn't - but NOTHING like what they had going in there.

Anyway, I think "Dommie" who is (c) by Lacy Clagg, was intended as a Halloween poser, but my opinion of "love" isn't all that great. So I give you an interesting look at Valentine's Day.

I have to admit that these were REALLY fun to do, and I'm thinking of picking up her Raven and Breeze posers to continue the theme a bit, although more along a Gothic line.

Captive Kisses



This was done on a template from Kristen's Wicked Scraps. I don't usually use templates, so it was a bit of an interesting experience in that it also helped me understand a bit more about how PSP works and what I can do with it. The Scraps came from the "Voodoo Love" kit by Heartbeatz Creationz.

Voodoo Lover



Same kit, but I ditched the template, and went with a mask instead. I've still not a big fan of HC's kit, although this one was fairly decent. I suppled I really like the concept of "Voodoo Love" though, and carried it over to another tag.

Bad Girlz



Good girlz go to heaven and Dommie goes just about everywhere else. This used the "Bad Girlz" taggers kit from Chaos Priestess, the chain is a Commercial Use item from Bluedream Designs.

You have to admit, she fits the theme of the kit perfectly! LOL!

Love Hurtz



I wasn't really looking for "love hurts", I was looking more for "I've been through Diamonds, I've been through minks, I've been through it all, Love Stinks," but it wasn't working. "Pain, without love" probably would, but I was too lazy to peruse the lyrics.

I used the "Bad Girlz" kit again, the Goth Voodoo Doll is a commercial use item from Krissy's Scraps and the little screws are from the Maltese Scrapper. Scrappin' Cop has been treating us to hardware as well this week, so I should have plenty of fasteners to use when I need them.

Sweet Dreamz Dommie



Inside that cold and heartless exterior, Miss Dommie really loves Dead Ted, her little bear. The uses the "Tainted" or "Tainted Teddy" - I've seen it called both ways - taggers kit by Scraps with Attitude, who also made Dead Ted in the first place.

Tainted Little Lover



Seriously, this was fun and there are several designers who've put out Gothic - but not vampiric - kits that I could use. Gail, for example, over at Aussie Scrap Designs, just released Valentine Grunge which looks promising.

And I do have Batilda and other dark and Gothic style kits on hand, so perhaps I'll consider doing a "Batty Little Valentine's Day" later in the week. Tonight I am going to learn who to load, and play with, brushes in PSP.
