My grandmother was many things: wife, mother, homemaker, hair stylist, musician, craft, seamstress extraordinaire, craft fanatic, and an artist.
She baked and decorated wedding cakes and created one of a kind wedding dresses on commission. She worked jigsaw puzzles and played endless games of Scrabble with my grandfather.
But mainly, she taught me about art. She took me to the art museums, she taught me to draw and color and paint. So...art was her blessing and her gift to me.
