The W4E Train is Rolling on Broadway!

Welcome to the Digicats Station on the W4E Broadway Musical Blog train!

Cats has always been my favorite musical - at least always since the time I first saw it. I've seen it performed several times now and it's always magical. And while I loved the idea of a Broadway Musical themed blog train, I was really kind of shying away from doing Cats as a kit. After all, for me, it's about the makeup and the costuming...and how to do you translate that into a kit?

But after some research on different productions, it occurred to me the set was just a junk yard, and instead of trying to copy what was in the junk yard in the New York production, I should fill it with well...junk. And after that it sort of came along quite nicely.

Mind, Miss Kitty looks more like a pole dancer than a Jellical cat, but...just...kind of go with it.

This kit comes with 12 (800 x 800 pixel, .jpg) papers and 40 .png elements. This was a theme I've wanted to do for a while. Nette and I keep joking that some digi-scrap stores are like the Hotel California - You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave.

You get owners that want to bargain with you. "Well, I'll pay you 90% commission if you stay." Sure but 90% of zero sales is still ZERO, so that's not really an inducement, is it?

Anyway...I figured this was also a great end of summer theme, but it seemed like it baffled a lot of the designers. So much for classic rock...

Top Gun!

Well, the computer showed up yesterday and w00t! It works! So now I'm in the process of restoring everything which is gonna take a while.

I'm working backwards and so far, I've only got through Feb 2oth of 2010. Urgh...

On a happier note however, Mary sent me a great tag using my Freedom of Expression taggers kit. This one is free, so be sure you grab it if you've not done so already and ride the rails for the rest of the freebies on the Freedom of Expression train.



She wanted to know what kind of movies I like. I'm pretty impartial, but we mostly watch Action/Adventure because that's what the SO likes.
