Surfin' Chick



As Tristan will tell you from his surfer Movie watching experience, 90% of surfing involves hanging out on the beach and picking up girls. That's why it appeals to him. (Well, okay, lady cats, in his case.)

Sun, Surf and Sand



Both of these tags used the Black'n'White freebie poser from Lacy Clagg. The scraps are also a freebie, from Sweet Blossom Designs, an Aussie scrapper, called "Surf's Up". It's posted in pieces on her blog and is a full sized scrap kit complete with a quick page and alpha.

The pink blossom down by the bottom of the surfboards in the second piece is a freebie from Gail at Aussie Scraps.

Coastal Christmas



Scrappin with Lil Ole Me says she is just minutes from the gulf. So I am I and to be honest, she really captured the feeling of Christmas in the south with her Sea Side Holiday kit.

The Naughty or Nice Poser is from Incogonio. The Blue Ocean Alpha is courtesy of Designs by K.

Aside from the kit, Scrappin with Lil Ole Me offers the template that was used to make that Christmas tree, but I was more interested in the warm winter hats template so I could have new hats to put on Tris.

Now, the only thing we're missing is the boat parade and Santa sleigh pulled by eight tiny little alligators!

Sweet Little Things

I got up this morning and pronounced it too cold to do fairy tags. The poor little things would freeze. In Kim Harrison's Rachel Morgan series, the fairies and the pixies either hibernate in the winter, or head down to Mexico where it's warm.

This leads for some complications, as Morgan's partner is a pixie...

Sweet Little Pirate



This little thing is not really dressed for the weather either. And believe me, Caribbean or not, it gets chilly on those ships when you're under full sail.

The Pirate lass and the parrot are both from Lacy Clagg. The Pirate Lass was a paid for tube, the Parrot is a freebie tube. The scraps are from Kirsty's Scraps from the Shiver Your Timbers taggers kit, which is the feminine side of her Pretty Dirty Pirate kit.

Sweet Little Goth



The little goth poser is actually supposed to be an adorable little vampire. However, she works for this tag. She and her sister, in the next tag, are from Outlaw by Design, from the free download area.

The Scraps are from Yarrow's Gothique Violet kit. The Silver Twilight alpha is from Amber Gray Designs. I actually have two Twilight Alphas, but they are both pretty much the same.

Sweet Goth Sister



As in the piece above, our little Goth Vampiress is from Outlaw by Design. The Scraps are still from Yarrow, this time from her Gothique Rouge kit and the Silver Twilight Alpha is still from Amber Gray Designs.

Sweet Little Fae



Once the house warmed up...I decide it was warm enough for this little Fae. She is also from Outlaw by Designs although just about everyone has a similar Fae poser as she I gather she's fairly standard for the software. Outlaw's seems a little softer though.

The scraps are from Tizzy's Angel from the Floral Forest Fantasy kit. The Gold Swirl Alpha is from Free Digital Scrapbooking...I have all these alphas and I couldn't find one I really liked for the tag.

More Old West Wisdom

I found a really great cowgirl tube over at the LC Tube Store but the turn around there isn't instantaneous, you have to wait for your tubes. So while I as waiting for "Monica" to arrive I thought I'd put the some of the western tubes I had from Brandi's Creations "Wanna be a Cowboy" kit to use.

As before, all the sayings came from the Wisdom of the old West area at the Legends of America site.

A Good Run



I'm taking this to mean the retreat is the better part of valor, but then half my mind keeps whispering an alternate meaning for "run" and "stand". In any case.

The cowboy tube, like all the cowboy tubes in this post, and the rope overlay are (c) 2008 by Brandi's Creations.

I used GigglyGirlz Scraps "Wild Wild West" taggers kit for this kit. Note that GigglyGirlz has now changed her name to Crimson Butterfly Scrapz. I gather name changing among designers is nearly as common as stores opening and closing.

The Hot Brass and Satin Gold Alphas are both freebies from Free Digital scrapbooking.

Smart Ass



A fool probaby didn't last too long in the west, but a smart ass probably didn't fair too much better either. Cowboys could be a proud lot in their own way.

The Scraps in this kit are from Lisa's Designs' "Western Wonder" Taggers kit except for the saddle, which is from the above mentioned "Wild Wild West" taggers kit.

The Rawhide Alpha was nice little freebie from Kristine Pocock of Wenchd Grafix.

A man afoot



In many cases, a cowboy was only as good as the horse he rode. If you watched "Dances with Wolves", you've seen how valuable a smart horse can be.

The Scraps are from the "Western Wonder" Taggers kit, which is a new-to-me Western kit and a nice addition to my western tagging collection. I also got the two Western themed kits from Designs by Helly: "Save a Horse" and "Blue Jean Baby". I expect that they'll probably get a work out when I start playing with the Monica tube.

The font on all of these tags is the Harlow Solid Italic font, which Is the same one I think that Scrappy Lover used to create the rope alpha effect in her "Sassy Cowgirl" kit.

Don't Go There



90% of driving these days is that cars don't have sense, and in many cases, neither do the drivers. Horse sense should never be underestimated.

As with the past three tags, the scraps are from the "Western Wonder" Taggers kit by Lisa's Designs, and the Rawhide Alpha is from Wenchd Graphix.

Harvest Happiness



You know...I can see why everyone gets addicted to PSP so quickly. I'm know newer versions of Photoshop offer increased productivity, but it's still not as easy as PSP. However, I know how to do things in Photoshop and I don't know how to do them in PSP, so I keep jumping back and forth between programs.

This tag uses the Autumn Splendor kit from Butterfly Hollow Designs which was one of the scrapkits I picked up at AhhhScraps Dollar Day sale. The Scarecrow posers are from the freebie stash over at Outlaw by Designs. The word art is from Cupcakes Sprinkles by Caitlin. I ended up redoing it a couple of times until I was happy with the coloring, but I'm sort of glad I did that.

It turned out really nice. If anyone cares to grab this piece to jazz up their sidebar with, feel free.

Kitty's Kristmas



There was an old woman who scrapped in a shoe, she had so many Christmas kits, she didn't know what to do...

Bluedream Designs put out the Blue Snow kit in two sizes to try to gauge how much of a demand there was for a full sized kit. I used it to put together a "Kitty" Christmas piece.

The Christmas Kitten is (c) 2008 by Perfect Posers, the plush kitty and the ornamental kitties are from Designs my Sue. In both cases, they sell out of AussieScraps.com.

The Alpha is still a mystery. I guess we'll have to settle for green and red and that we're not getting a gold or white version.

The Magic of Christmas



I'm a Helly Stalker, oh yes I am. Peace on Earth was one of the AhhhScrap kits from Dollar Days. (Does happy little Helly Stalker dance.) Isn't the paper just gorgeous???

The Ornaments are from Scrappy Sheila, the Winter Bride is by Outlaw by Design from her freebie section. The earth was something I tubed in PSP. I could have done it better, but I was my first time trying that in PSP. It was fun, sort of. The silver wires I swiped from Candy's Treats O Christmas Tree kit.

The Word Art is from Word Art Fun.

I did a few more pieces, but I was mostly playing around and didn't get things accomplished or loaded, so...

Grristmas



I did this tag for next Thursday's edition of House Panthers. The Santa Hat is from the Maltese Scrapper and the Ice Crystal alpha is from Sentimental Style.

The scraps are from Krissy's Snow Kids kit. Within 12 hours of it's release, someone had put up an illegal freeshare link for it. I mean, come on already. These ladies work hard on these kits, and it's not like they are charging an arm and a leg for them. Anyone who needs to steal a $3.00 tag kit is simply pathetic.

You can read what Krissy has to say Here. These are probably the same people that would steal from a church collection plate, so that tells you something.

In any case, I did not steal my copy. I bought it....on sale for a $1.50.

Skippy

These are the tags I skipped from last week's T-13. I can tell I skipped them because they all feature the Fall Fae which is (c) 2008 by Perfect Posers. She's one of my favorites, but I didn't do any extra tags featuring her to go with the cat tags. So...before we move on the terribly confused Talking Turkey, I figured I should finish up with last week.

Billy Sweetfeets



I love Billy Sweetfeets who's take up residence with the Meezers. He's soooo funny.

I used the Autumn Blessings kit from Tammy's Scraps for this and supplemented it with the leaves from QueenBrat's Autumn Leaves Pack 1. The Fall Stamp Alpha, which came with a bunch of Thanksgiving Word Art, is from Lizz Gasaway Designs.

Mushka



Candy's Treats' Cozy Autumn taggers kit provided the scraps for this tag. The flowers were freebies from Scrappiles of Digi Style so they have kind of a sticker quality to them. The Autumn Alpha is by Cindy Lea.

Tiffany from Scrappiles has been invited to design for the new store that DigiScrapDepot is opening. So she's been working on kits and we've not gotten the freebies we sort of got used to. But in a way that's better, as I dislike buying from blogs - I've had bad experiences - and this will put her in a "real" cyber store.

Olive Oyl



Ollie gets overlooked a lot, since she shares a blog with Sunny who's the main cat on the block. But she's a very pretty kitty and this tag came out quite nice.

I used the Aleia kit from Designs by Helly in the main part, although the butterfly was an import from the Nyssa Taggers kit. The After Dusk Alpha is by Flower Scraps.

I did in fact take advantage of the $1.00 sale at AhhhScrap, picking up Helly's Memories of Us, and her brand new Peace on Earth Mini-kit as well as the Grunge Alpha Bead set, Kathy Goldstein's Rock Candy Scrapkit, "Rough Tough" from Robyn's Chic Scraps and "Autumn's Splendor" from Butterfly Hollow. All for just $5.25. And those are full sized kits too, not taggers size, so their usual price tag is around $5.00 each.

Not a bad deal, eh?

Diamond le Fae



I did this one of Miss Diamond for last week as well, and ended up not using it. I'm sure it will surface soon or later but...

The scraps are from Kathy Goldstein's Enchanted Forest kit, the Wings are courtesy of Ditter's Free Doodles. The Black Gold Alpha was a freebie from Bizee Digi-Arts.

I had Tris in the bedroom the other night and he posed quite nicely for me, so have several new tags for him...

Christmas Kittens



I thought, fleetingly, about changing the name of Tris' club to "The Tomcats Club". When I was in Junior High, we had a Playboy Club down the street from the School that had fallen into disgrace so they changed their name to the The Tomcats Club. Now, we all knew what went on in there. For some reason these days they'd probably make the place move for being too close to a school.

In any case...I used the FTU Traditional Christmas taggers kit from Bluedream Designs for the scraps. The Christmas Kitten is (c) 2008 by Perfect Posers. The "glass" is from Chaos Priestess' Magick Workers kit - I need like a bunch of "guy" accessories - glasses, beer mugs, remotes, etc. Maybe I'll grab some off the internet and tube them and do a freebie a la the Maltese Scrapper.

The Green (and Red) glitter alpha I got off Digifree and it didn't come with a TOU, so needless to say, I've forgotten who actually did it. If/when I track it down I'll post a credit.

I wish I could have made those lights twinkle...I know there's a way to do it...but...

Catch of the Day



This is not exactly how I'd originally envisioned this piece, but it works, especially given the smug look on Tris' face. I used Soxsational Scraps' "Pirates Life" taggers kit for the scraps except for Tris' earring, which is from Kirsty's Scraps' "Pretty Dirty Pirate" kit. (The eyepatch is not consistent on these pieces, but I've been sticking with the same hat and now the same earring.)

The Mermaid is (c) 2008 by Bits'N'Bobs, and the Black Epoxy Alpha is from Free Digital Scrapbooking.

Country Trismas



Wednesdays are Wacky Wednesday at Taggers Scraps but when I looked in the morning, no freebies were listed, and I know from experience that they "do not ship to my location" in the evenings, so I went online from work. Low and behold, there were freebies, including quite a few complete kits from Scrapping Mar. I ordered them all, and checked out. Then I went back in and downloaded them when I got home, and it actually worked. W00t!

Two of the kits were Christmas kits. The next problem to tackle is that everything is named 1.png, 2.png, 3.png, etc. Very had to work with and so despite the TOU that says "do not rename my files", they got renamed. The Country X-mas taggers kit was the smaller of the two - the other has like 74 elements, so I'm still working on it.

It's not a bad little kit and it was FREE, so heck...

The pine cone frame was a freebie from Starfire Designs. The Santa Hat is courtesy of the Maltese Scrapper, and the Word Art comes to us from Word Art Fun.

I just LOOOOOVE the Jive Turkey taggers kit from Toni's Scraparoni. The Scarecrow in this tag is a freebie from Brandi's Creations and was part of her LeRoy Lion - Wizard of Oz themed kit. (Looks just like the ones from Charly, doesn't it?)

Ballerina Bear



Gail from Aussie Scraps was giving this little bear away as a freebie. I didn't know if Danielle knew what a ballerina is. Turns out her whole bedroom is themed on Ballerina Bears. So...

The Scraps are from Cinnamon Scraps "Waiting for Santa" Taggers kit. The little ballerinas are from Bits'N'Bobs, and the Candy Cane Alpha is from Free Digital Scrapbooking.

Jingle for Peace



Despite being a freebie, Tranquil Xmas by Kittz Kreations is one of my favorite Holiday kits this year. I even used it for Tristan's card, LOL.

It's really nice and worth a few minutes of time to download. The "Jingle" and the Bear and pressie box are (c) 2008 by Brandi's Creations from her Jingle freebie.

The Snow Bride



Incognito released a kit called Winter Wonderland which featured the Snow Bride poser as it's centerpiece. It's so pretty, that it doesn't really need any outside help, despite the fact that the scraps are a little on slim side.

However, just for fun, I added in some silver snowflakes from Aussie Scraps and the ornaments on the tree are from Scrappy Sheila. One of the ornaments, the pale blue one came with the kit, as did the rest of the scraps. Just lovely!

Naughty or Nice



Incognito as has a 3 pack of Naughty or Nice posers which I used with this kit.

The scraps are from Cinnamon Scraps Winter Fun kit, although the felt ornaments, candy canes and Holly came from C.C. Designs Christmas Bits freebie. The Ice Crystals alpha is by Sentimental Style.

Do I need to say that for $2.00, Incognitos ladies are a much better value than the ones put out by Perfect Poser? I just wish there were more of them! And yes, they are available for commercial use.

Two birds in hand...

Okay, here we go. This is the one I was missing yesterday...



The Fae is (c) 2008 by Incognito from her Fairy Pack II, while the scraps are from Designs by Helly from her One Sweet Day kit, except for the layered heart, which she had as a freebie on AhhhScrap.

Helly writes of the kit "Have you ever wished you could turn back time and say things that you never got the chance to say? Maybe to a loved one you've lost, or a love that was lost...or maybe someone who doesn't know how you really feel about them. That is the idea behind One Sweet Day."

Actually...no, I can't think of anything I need to say to anyone that I haven't said. The last person I said "I love you" to was Manny and I think he realized it was a brother/sister sort of thing - unlike just about every other girl in the world who drools over him.

It's still a sweet kit though.

Several of Helly's recent kits have featured owls, I'm just hoping they're not going to become the next "beaded dragonfly" of the scrapworld where everyone is using them. Maybe it's just seasonal.

Enchanted Amber



While I was digging "Sweet Fae" out to upload, I came upon this one that I'd one last week and forgot about.

Amber Fae is (c) 2008 by Perfect Posers. The scraps are from the Enchanted Forest kit from Kathy Goldstein.

Although that reminds me that I never did finish the production notes off last week's T-13.

I was trying to track down the scraps I used for Fagin's T-13 tag that will be published tomorrow. I remember someone giving me a bunch of clip art and I tend to think it was Foxy Lady on one of the blog trains, but I just can't seem to find it. Evidently, my organization system is failing.

Meanwhile I see that Aaahscrap is having a $1.00 sale. I should probably take advantage of that...

Oh yeah! And I FINALLY located where I'd seen those cute little kitty cat charms I had again. (These are the ones down at the bottom of my Peace Globe.) They are on AussieScraps.com (for free) and are from Designs by Sue, who also did the Kitty Cat clip art I wanted. I still cannot locate a website for her though.

Magical & Fabulous Fae

"Fabulous Faes" by LK Designs/Sensational Scraps come in a pack of 8 for $3.00, which considering each different one is a piece of art in itself shows you how over inflated are the prices that Perfect Posers charge.

Each one is a "princess" of some sort, at least according to their file names, so, here we go...

Ice Princess



The layout uses the Snow Princess taggers kit from Cinnamon Scraps. I used a number of the scraps from the kit - flowers, bows, doodles - to decorate the tree. It was kind of fun, actually. This is not a new acquisition, it was one of the first winter kits I purchased this year and is still one of my favorites.

Aside from the Fae, the only thing that didn't come with the kit is the strings, holding up the snowflakes.

Sun Princess



"Tropical" is one of the new scrapkits I got from Cinnamon. I'm still in this "Let's buy summer kits" phase - in the winter, yes I know - but I figure I can use this with several of the posers I've got. And then...there are always the kitty cat tags.

This one is nice and bright and I love the fruits! There's some whimsical pieces in there as well, which I left out of this particular tag.

Doesn't it make you feel warmer just looking at it?

Berry Princess



Precious Love was a freebie from Cinnamon Scraps and I took advantage of all the red and pink blooms to put this piece together. Not really a "berry" kit, but the coloration worked well with the Fae.

The nice things about these Fae is she didn't force the copyright on them like the usually does with her work. And of course, I remembered to add it. He-he-he.

Lisa also put a freebie image pack called Magical. Evidently it was an excerise in trying to make her images look more "realistic".

Enchanted



This is a little lost Fae from the Magical set dancing in an Enchanted Forest courtesy of Kathy Goldstein's kit by the same name. I couldn't find the butterflies I was looking for - turned out that Lisa had created them as well and I'd put them in her directory instead of fall things, so I used one from Cupcake Sprinkles' "Fall Butterfly" freebie. The Alpha was a freebie from Vicki, a.k.a. "A Work in Progress".

Savannah



Also from the Magical set. I used the Savannah kit from Designs by Helly for the scraps.

The kit was inspired by a trip to Savannah, Georgia, and every time I use it I think about Ed's Mom, who really loved it when she went there. But she nearly crippled herself going up and down -- the city is built on a terrace system - and was laid up for several months after they got back.

"You HAVE to go see it!" she keeps telling me. Yes, me, with my advanced arthritis and a swollen left leg. I can just see me trying to handle terraces in Savannah. LOL.

The Alpha came with the kit, which is really truly beautiful.

Siohban Crush



Uh-oh...what did I do with the tag with the owl in it? Shoot. I need to concentrate on uploading what I've finished. Ah well.

This is one of Lisa's designs from earlier in the year from her Classic Fae set. The scraps are from the Crush taggers kit from Designs by Helly. The star is from a CU Paper Stars pack that she did as well.

I truly love Helly's Designs, she does some fantastic work. She has some of her older sets over the Cotton Candy Kreations (formerly Berry Bliss). She does have a kit called Siobhan which is part of her Fae Taggers series.

The name "Siobhan" (pronouned shi-VAWN) is an Irish for of "Jehanne" which is derived from the Norman French "Jeanne".

Peacock Fae

"Miss Peacock" is (c) 2008 by Perfect Posers and can be found at Aussie Scraps (six tubes for $7.00). She kind of reminds me of my friend Rowena.

Rowena said "Yeah, the hair and the complexion...but she's got a lot more up top then I do!" Well...I'm sure flying around builds up the muscles in that area.

All three of these tags use kits by Scrappy Redhead that I bought on sale at Scrap Happiness. Redhead's designs are also on Sale at Digital Chaos, but I went with Scrap Happiness so I could snag the November freebie as well.



This is the "Beyond Time" taggers kit. It's a blue/green kit and I kind of pushed it toward the green end.

I added some scraps in from Redhead's contribution to the September Scrap Happiness freebie - the peacock pin, butterfly and white flowers came from that kit.



The shadows on the Fae in this one seem a bit heavy, but maybe that's just me. I guess if the lighting was from the bottom...

The scraps for the tag are from the "Blue Hydrangea" kit, but I didn't use any of the Hydrangea that came with it. They just weren't fitting in.

The diamond studed daisies worked out pretty good though.



Scraps are from the "Nothing but a Dreamer" taggers kit and I LOVE the Blue Jay feathers. (My mind was working on endless possibilities for those until I remembered the Blue Jays aren't in our Division anymore. Oh well.)

I haven't been able to work this Fae into any of the kitty cat tags...she seems a little more stuck up than her counterparts. I dunno. Maybe something with Miss Diamond...

I did sort of buy her though with the intention of using her in combination with Redhead's kits as the blues sort of compliment each other.
