Ballerina Bear and Beary Rufus

Lynne at Baby Cakes Scraps released a very adorable kit called "Beary Sweet" which I just squeed over and had to have. I had originally planned to do a set of "beary" tags...you know "You are beary sweet," "You are beary kind," "You are beary beautiful," etc. and was thinking I need bear posers. Then said "Oh yeah, I've got this whole stack of Rufus and the color would work fine."

It did not hit me until I sat down to work on these that Rufus is a cat, not a bear. So...I will probably still do the beary tags, but with a different kit, as I have Sweetheart Bears from Missy I can use in them. But the color is pink and it won't work with this kit.

In any case, these are all snaggable so if you want to grab them and add your child's name to them - I left room on all of them - please feel free. Personal use only, please. Rufus is (c) by Pixie*Pink*Land and was part of her Nursery B kit.

The kit comes with a bear - in two sizes - and as Miss Danielle has the ballerina bear theme going, I did this cute little tag for her, using the teddy in the kit:

Beary Rufus

You can purchase "Beary Sweet" at Creative Scraps.

I was supposed to be working on tags from a new kit by CWD, "Little Miss" but I got side tracked with the superbowl and weekend cat blogging. More kids tags. But those are still coming soon.

Plushy Power

Wild Thing

Plushies,Colorful

The plushy is from Calypso Designs. They claim it's "Plushy Pack 2" but I've only seen this one from them thus far. DMK Designs' FTU Wild Thing kit provided the scraps for this one. The Zebra Alpha is by Tammy Jean Creations, who has a beautiful tabby cat she cares for.

Waiting for Santa

Plushies,Christmas

I was trying to recolor the shirt to red, but ended up making it more orangey, I think. Still, it occurs to me that I could recolor the plushies, which would make re-using them more interesting. Again, this is from Calypso Design's "Plushy Pack 2".

The scraps are from the "Waiting for Santa" Taggers kit from Cinnamon Scraps.

Just Peachy

Plushies,Colorful

Perfect Posers calls them Cuddlies, not Plushies, but a horse by a different name is still a horse.

The scraps are from Kittz Kreationz' Pastel Days Taggers Kit. The house is a FTU add on to that kit, which you can find at Kittz blog. The Alpha is from Free Digital Scrapbooking.

Garden Friends

Plushies,Spring

I'm not sure that that's supposed to be. It's not a turtle, so I've decided it's a dragon. In any case, it's from the Perfect Poser pack. I'm thinking the pastels will be easier to recolor.

The scraps are from Kittz Kreationz "Bugs in my Garden" FTU taggers kit, which included the word art used in the piece.

So Dangerous

Plushies

This kit, including a tutorial which I didn't do, but need to, is available on the Calypso Design blog. The only difference is, I used their freebie skunk plushy and they used one of Farrah's Chubbies.

I can't even take credit for the layout, since they thought of it. There is a mask included. I didn't know how to use it, so I didn't but that's why I need to do the tut, I guess..Then again, the tut is written in French and mine is VERY limited.

More Plushies

When I got up this morning, Tristan was on the Love Seat sleeping and Diamond was on the floor, trying to kill him with nasty looks. There's a whole sectional she could sleep on (and which I happen to know she likes sleeping on) but no...

It's amazing how much like human kids they can be.

These first two tags feature plushies from the free download area at Poser Realm. I really like the fabrics on the pair, it makes them rather unique compared to the other plushies I've seen:

Plushie Princess

Plushies

This uses the "Goth Child" kit from Creations by Jo. Danielle is much, much to young to be into the Goth or Emo thing, but the colors were bright, which in the end is why I chose it.

She is however, very much into the Princess thing so...

The "Purple Coat" Alpha is from Scrap Alpha, one of two very similar ones that Digifree found for me.

Candy Cat

Plushies

This also a Creations by Jo kit, this one a taggers kit called "Sweet Candy". I had bought "Goth Child" as a full sized kit because I intend to use it on Diamond's blog, sooner or later.

The Alpha came with the "Sweet Candy" kit. I was reminded that besides adding the artwork copyright to my tags, I need to add my own recognition somewhere. Or as my Grandmother told me: "Always sign your artwork when your finished with it."

I'd like to try to work a little cat clip into the picture to use as the part of the "tagged by" thing, but that's not always going to be feasible. In this case though, it was.

Let's Dance

Doll,Colorful,Poser

I'd done this piece about the same time I did the Ballerina Bear, I just never posed it to the site.

The "Dolls" are from Brandi's Creations, part of her "Sweet Shoppe" kit. The scraps are from the "Bright Me Out" taggers kit by Scrappy Lover. The "Let's Dance" word art courtesy of Elegant Word Art.

("and if you say run, I'll run to you...")

Flower if U want 2

Plushies,Colorful

The title is a play on the line from Disney's "Bambi" movie. The skunk plushie was a freebie off the Calypso Design blog. They don't give too many freebies away so get while the getting's good.

The scraps are from the "Child's Play" kit from Creations by Jo. I used the "Isle of Misfit Toys" alpha from Free Digital Scrapbooking for this and made sure it was a bit more misfitting than usual to give the piece a bit of character.

Pastel Plushie

Plushies

The plushie cat is from Calypso Designs' PTU six pack of plushies. the scraps came from the "Pretty Pastels" kit from Creations by Jo.

The Alpha was a freebie add on to Toni Scraparoni's Pink-o-Metric kit and is available for download off her blog.

Plushies

My friend Rowena has a special little four year old girl named Danielle. She's been through two open heart surgeries and will eventually have to go through a couple of more as she grows up.

Of late she's been rather on the ill side and was hospitalized with something or other that I can pronounce. Endio-something or other. So I thought I'd put some plushie tags together for her to print and hang in her room.

Bedtime

Plushies,Fantasy

This is the odd one in the bunch as it uses the Quilted Bedtime Freebie from Brandi's Creations along with her plushies. It's a really cute set, and of course, you can snag it for free on her website. It comes with several plushies besides the ones I used in this piece.

Brandi also has a Stuffed Animal Pack One and Two for free on her site if you're looking for more plushies.

Purple Panda

Fairies,Fantasy,Plushies

This little plushie is from Calypso Designs, one of a pack of six.

I used the Sunfidulgence kit from Scraps by Jessica for the scraps, it's a fun little fairy themed kits with lots and lot of elements and is sure to delight young and old.

Bright Bear

Plushies,Colorful

Bright Bear is also from the Calypso Designs kit. Both the bears came with butterfly wings, I didn't add them.

The scraps are from the FTU and apply named kit called Brights, which is available on Kittz Kreations blog.

I wasn't going to download it until this idea popped up to do something for Danielle, but I'm sure I can find a few more uses for it in kitty cat tags.

Brockie

Fantasy,Plushies

Brock, a former first baseman of ours had an adventure in Tennessee involving a skunk and he's had a hard time living it down. Anyway he came up to me prior to a game one day and said "Have you ever been to Animal Kingdom?" All I could think of at that point as he meant the Naples Zoo but I hazarded a guess of "The one in Orlando?"

Which is called Animal Safari not Animal Kingdom.

"NO, no, the one on 41."

I REALLY had to think about this and then it dawned on me. "PET Kingdom? Do you mean PET Kingdom?"

"Yeah!"

"I shop at Pet Supermarket usually..."

"Well, they have pet skunks."

De-skunked of course.

I had kind of wanted a skunk at one point, until I'd read about them and found out they can be rather destructive, and I really wouldn't want to keep it confined all the time. I hear they make very sweet pets though.

"Oh Brockie, I'd get one and name after you but I'm afraid my dear, sweet and fierce Diamond would eat it!"

So, no skunks.

This little stinker is posing among scraps provided by the Enchanted taggers kit from Cinnamon Scraps. I just love this one, because of all the realistic bits in it.

And isn't the little owl just adorable?

Well, hopefully, little Danielle will enjoy these. I did some Mermaids for her too, which I'll cover in the next post.

Have a Bear Happy Halloween

I found these adorable Little Bears by Mag's Graphics on sale at Moo Two Designs for just over a buck each (US).

I ended up doing these pieces to 8 x 8 inches as the bears are about 6 inches each and I wanted the extra room around them.

You can check out Mag's Blog HERE. She also has a store at MagsGraphics.com.

Mummy Bear

Halloween

I went with the Creature Comforts kit on this one althought the Pumpkin in the lower right hand corner is from Monika Digital Designs, and the tag, which is from Sparking Special Designs. We are still collecting the Creature Comforts kit which is (c) 2007 by Jennifer Lieberenz and Danielle Fenning from Scrapoutsidethebox.com.

Bat Bear

Halloween

Is surrounded by scraps from Cinnamon Scraps' Happy Haunting kit, which is/was a freebie.

Witch Bear

Halloween

Is decorated with scraps from Bluedream Designs' Halloween Freebie, except for the button which was part of Honored Scraps contribution to the Got Sugar Blog Train.

Demon Bear

Halloween

The Frighteningly Cute Demon Bear is sitting in a Doodle Daze Halloween by Urban Mermaid.

They really are all to cute to spook!

Raggedy Halloween

I used to be a huge fan of Raggedy Ann (and Andy) when I was a kid, but for the life of me, I couldn't tell what happened in any of the stories I read back then.

The Raggedy Halloween kit is from GF Designz (Girl Friend Designz) and I got it for a buck from AhhhScrap during their first ever dollar sale.

Halloween

It's a not a really big kit, and it's kind of on witchy theme, but it would be great either to decorate the photos of any wee ones you might have, or for kids' tags.

Halloween

The Lil' Devil cat is (c) 2008 by Calypso Designs.
