Dragons!

Gail at Aussie Scraps released a four pack of dragon posers which are just great for boys tags, so I whipped up a couple for each. The dragons are available at the Aussie Scrap Store.

Dragon tag for owen

Dragon tag for owen

The first two tags in each grouping uses scraps from the "Fallen Angel" kit, which was recently released from Creationz by Jo. She includes some of the Shelly's "Melissa" posers in the kit. It's nice to see Shelly's work getting some recognition from the various designers.

The brushed metal alpha is from Nettie B, while the chain is courtesy of Bluedream Designs.

Dragon tag for Justin

Dragon tag for Justin

The second two tags use the "Metallic" kit from Candy's Treats, which is an older kit that she retired and is now offering as a freebie. The Chrome Alpha comes with the set.

Angelique at Digital Embellishments as a great little "Elven Defender" tube that would have worked well with these, but she doesn't allow her work to be mixed with the tubes of other artists. Pity.

I should probably use those for tags for the boys too. Hadn't thought of it. Heh!

Country Cats

Round 'em Up

Lacking a suitable topic now that the holidays are over, I decided to go with "Down on the Farm" for the January 8th T-13. So far I've got 8 of the tags done, but I got online just after six and decided to check Digi-free. I had purchases a kit from Designs by Tisha called "Down on the Farm" to use on the project and she had a matching alpha for it. Plus another designer had a "barn" alpha that will work too.

It's coming out pretty cute!

The above tag is not one of the group, and in fact was done using scraps from the "Cowboy Fun" by Scrappy Lover. The "rope" or twine "frame" is courtesy of Scrappin' Cop, while the Rawhide Alpha comes from Wenchd Graphix. I did use the rawhide alpha on one tag, lacking anything really "farmy". Too bad I didn't check Digi-free earlier.

The horse photo was from a pack of high-res horse photos I downloaded from Scrappin' with Barbie. I used two masks in this piece as well, one to get the fade out effect on Tristan and a second to get the worn effect on the round up photo.

Here is a sneak preview:

Dog,Country Cats

The scraps are from Cinnamon Scraps' "Barnyard Friends" tagger kit. The hat is from our fashion consultant over at the Maltese Scrapper, and the Messy Denim alpha is from C. Papier.

Despite my efforts, we ended up having to buy Photobucket Pro, although I still put the T-13 over on the new account. Not as many tags (yet). Besides, this makes it easier for the guest animals to access their tags should they care to use them on their blog. Once you buy pro, Photobucket no longer automatically links back to the Photobucket page for the image.

I have received some ideas for upcoming T-13s, but I'll need input on them, so perhaps I'll make that the subject of Diamond's post tomorrow.

Lavender Fantasy

The problem with these long holiday weekends is that I revert to being a night owl - up at night, sleep during the day. I used to work the night shift because, well...that's what seems natural to me. The problem is most client don't come to see their accountants at night.

So I was a bit of a lush today and accomplished little or nothing of what I'd hoped to accomplish.

I did however clean up - sort of - the huge January Collaboration download I got from United Scraps 4 Taggers. There were 31 sections, although I only downloaded 29 as two of the contributors were nice enough to allow a choice between full and tagger sized kits. Most just gave us one or the other, which makes working with the collab even harder than usual as you have to keep checking the size of a file before you open it. I need to go through and figure out which designers send full sized stuff, and resize it.

I do like the kit however, the colors lend themselves very well to fairy tags. All four of these tags use the "Lavender Fantasy Fae" (c) by KairinaKat Kreations, which is the Elisa poser recolored. They has four sets out like this Lavender, Peach, Pink, and Aqua. I understand the need for color variation, but having some different poses would be nice too! As with all of Shelly's designs, you can buy the Lavender Fae at Creative Scraps.

Lavender Fae

This first tag uses Soxsational Scraps' portion of the collab. The portions by Sox and Creationz by Jo I set off under their respective designer directories as they were large enough to use as a mini-kit. In fact they are larger than some mini-kits. The only problem with Sox's portion is there were no butterflies, so the butterfly and bird in the tag are by Calypso Design. (I'm so happy I got the papillon pack...you just don't know!)

The "White Christmas" Alpha is from Delicious Scraps. I could actually kick myself as I didn't remember that Kirsty's contribution to the kit was not just one, but TWO alphas - and she sent them in full and tagger size. The reason I forgot is I put them off under her designer directory, but there was a reason for this.

Lavender Fae

Kirsty's new kit is called "New Beginnings" and it is angel/fairy themed - there being elements for both sorts of tags in it. You'll notice the colors match the January Collab, which is why I forgot about the alphas. They are actually add-ons to this kit.

It's a lovely kit by the way, I'll be working more with it, as there's a whole ton of elements, especially with the double theme.

This was also a double mask piece - although both masks are intended to be hearts, its a bit hard to tell as Elisa is covering too much to really make it out.

Both "New Beginnings" and the US4T collab have a subtle Valentine's Day feel, as well a spring sort of feel, although Silent Dreamer sent along winter elements with her portion of the kit.

I'm still not ready to head off full steam into spring tagging though, they'll be more snowy stuff coming.

Lavender Fae

Fae #3 uses the portion of the collab that comes to use from Creationz by Jo. I love the little eyelet cord bows in this kit; Jo included some really cool elements. She also sent it along in full size, however, I ran QueenBrat's script in batch processing mode, and it was a snap to resize it.

The "Solid Gold Swirl" alpha is from Free Digital Scrapbooking.

Lavender Fae

This is all from the collab and I'm not really sure who sent what except the pleated flowers are from Designs by Ali and the jeweled butterfly is from Honored Scraps.

I am having problems with Artistic Creations portion of the kit too. I can see the elements in the Win Explorer preview, and all the file info pulls up okay, but when I try to open them PSP tells me they are NOT a valid file. However, there's SO MUCH to this collab, that it's a small loss. I just wanted to mention it, as it will make me think twice about purchasing one of their kits. (Although at this time, they only have one.)

They were the only ones who sent as a .rar file but that's never been a problem before, so....who knows?

Cherry Blossom Fae

Cherry Blossom Fae

The poser in this one is from Angel's Tubes - she was one of her freebies. She looks...I dunno...weird. Maybe it's just the way she's posed.

The scraps are from the US4T collab, which is why I decided to include it here.

I'm thinking of using this kit to tag some of the Sadie Fae versions I have. I'd done a couple that I'm unhappy with, but this kit lends itself quite well to fairy tagging.

Polar Bear Party

I had gotten this little clip art pack from My Digital Things, and it was so cute, I just had to do something with it. They make adorable kids tags.

The scraps are from the "Brrr Baby" freebie kit from Farrah's Creations. While this is a full size kit, I had purchased a script from Queen Brat Designs that resizes it to taggers and it worked great. It let me pick the size, so I wanted to same some of the elements at a larger size, I could do that. Since full size kits eat up disk space and can be really time consuming to work with in a taggers environment, it was a great investment for $2.00.

She as it vetted through PSP 9.0, but it worked great on PSPXI.

Polar Bear Baby

The snowmen used in the inserts are also from Farrah's Creations, from her Xmas Tube freebie. The Frosty Alpha is courtesy of Krakatuka.

Polar Bear Baby

Polar Bear Baby

I'm not sure my recoloring efforts on the 3rd balloon met with success, but the yellow just wasn't working. The word art is courtesy of MW Designs.

Cheerful Chubbies

All "Chubbies" and scraps used in all these tags are (c) by Farrah's Creations and can be purchased at Designer Scraps or DSLL (with some limitations).

Fallen Angel

Angels & Devils,Chubbie

This tag combines the Damaged Angel "Chubbie" with the "Dangerous" taggers kit. I just adore this little doll!

Mouse Mama

Chubbie,Mice,Fantasy

"Mousie and Me" is one of Farrah's new releases and she's something for the "Mouse"-kateer in all of us. The scraps are from the "Through my Window" taggers kit, which turned out to be a surprising little set. I'd bought it for the colors, but it some really unique and interesting elements in it, and would probably to be great for some fairy tags.

I look forward to experimenting with it.

Rock Star

Chubbie,Rock,Punk,Dog

I think the Punk "Chubbie" is just too cute! The "Rock Star" taggers kit is a freebie that can only be found at the Designer Scraps Shop. The little Scotty dog was made using a template from Farrah's "Template Mix" pack, which also includes a reindeer and a glitter stick.

Jolly Santa

Chubbie,Santa,Reindeer,Happy Holidays

This is one of the "Santa Baby Chubbies" which comes as part of a two pack. The scraps are all from the "Jolly" holiday themed kit.

Last Dance with Merry Jane

Romance,Chubbie,Love or Lust

The "Mysterious Chubbie" is a new release from Farrah, as is the "Love Song" taggers kit. The "After Dusk" alpha is courtesy of Flowers Scraps.

M.J. relates that she was born "Mary Jane", went through periods where she was either Mary, or Jane, but not both at the same time, and finally settled on "Merry Jane" in high school. Once she turned 18, she legally had the spelling changed. The Chubbie actually kind of looks like her, in a cartoony stort of way.

Farrah has half a dozen new freebies (full size) up on her blog for the New Year, so be sure to stop by and pick them up!

Twilight II

Since I brought it up...The next two tags are from the "Vampire Heart" taggers kit by Chaos Priestess. It's hard to tell if it's supposed to be a "Twilight" kit, for if she just wanted to do a vampire kit, as it's more traditional vampire than the Twilight universe is.

Twilight,Vampire,Goth

She also used some of the goth word art from Angie's Asylum as well as some of the winged heart elements. No Dead Headz this time around.

"Mandy" is (c) by KairinaKat Kreations and as with all of Shelly's posers, can be found at Creative Scraps.

Goth,Twilight,Vampire

I used one of the posers from Outlaw by Design for this tag and may go back and do a couple more with that combination as there's a lot of stuff in the kit I haven't played with yet and, in looking through my files, some of Outlaw's posers lend themselves to the venue.

I didn't want to get too bogged down though in Twilight Land right now, especially after going off on the Immortal tags earlier.

These next two tags also use the Mandy poser, but the scraps are from Grunge and Glitter Scraps "Twilight" taggers kit. (Yup, no subtle attempts to misdirect the uniformed with that title.)

Twilight,Goth,Vampire

I even went and fetched one of the Twilight Flairs from Ellie Lash to use on the piece. Heh!

Twilight,Vampire,Goth

The colors on the Mandy poser fit in really well with this kit, which is why I chose her. This is the same kit I used with one of Krissy's "Lil" chibis a couple of posts back.

Both Chaos Priestess and Grunge and Glitter Scraps sell exclusively out of Digital Chaos, our favorite place to shop on the internets.

Bonus Goth

Goth

Unrelated in any way to any of the above...Victoria is a freebie from Sharon Becker Designs and can be found at the Lacy Clagg Tube Store. This was Sharon's first attempt at a poser and she's not really exciting, but I still think that she lends herself to some Goth tags along the Gothic- Romantic lines.

The scraps are from Chaos Priestess' "Blackened Heart" taggers kit, while the "Man in the Moon" is from CP's "CU Moon Templates" pack, one of the pre-made ones.

I thought it had turned out kind of interesting, so I thought I'd throw it out there.

My Immortal

Helly is such a little bandwagon jumper. At least when Chaos Priestess released "Vampire Heart", the lack of obvious Twilight inspired elements made me believe that she just maybe wanted to release a vampire kit.

Helly makes no such pretense with her first release of 2009, which is called "My Immortal". She even tells you up front it's Twilight inspired. At least it's well done, and I can almost forgive her just for the title. (I'm a closet Evanescence fan.)

So...all four tags make use of her latest release in taggers size. All of the posers are from Shelly at KairinaKat Kreations.

Twilight,Vampire,Goth

This uses the Elisa poser, which was actually her first release, only she'd one it in green at the time. The white version is included with the Lavender/Aqua/et al Fae sets, and since I didn't really want fairy wings, but did want white silk, so it worked out well.

Twilight,Vampire,Goth

This tag and the last tag make use of Shelly's "Goddess" poser pack. I did have other plans for them - and will probably still do those tags when I get around to it. The "Silver Twilight" alpha is from Amber Gray Designs.

Twilight,Vampire,Goth

The poser is "Mandy" from her four pack of the same name. Now give me one of these in different colors please! (A pink version would be smashing, don't you think?)

Twilight,Vampire,Goth

The almost visible "Scripted Jewels" alpha is from Bizee Digi-Arts. The lyrics in the background are from the "My Immortal" song, off Evanescence "Fallen" CD.

You can get KairinaKat Kreations' posers at Creative Scraps. I had also purchased some of her CU valentines day stuff as I was planning on working on flairs, but this came up and I got sidetracked. I know - Miss Diamond has a longer attention span sometimes. She's still intent upon catching her first rat of 2009 and has been since we got up this morning.

Have you been missing Taggers Scraps? Fear no more! United Scraps 4 Taggers has opened their doors and just like TS, they're not shipping to your area either! I've already dropped Ali a line about it. Her products are misconfigured. I mean, given all the designers who've struck out on their own and are using Zen Cart, you have to wonder, how hard can it be?

Save yourself the head ache and wait until they get the kinks wrinkled out. (PS: as of this posting it appears they have a temporary fix on it! Yeah!)

Cutie Chubbies

These first two use the "Princess" poser by Sharon Becker Designs, but they are still kind of gothy, as I did them right after my mom made the comments about Misty last week, and I was in a sour mood.

Here Kitty, Kitty

Princess,Chibi,Gothic,Kitty Cats

The scraps are from "A Gothorian Princess" taggers kit by Chaos Priestess. The "Evil Tulips" are a freebie template from CP as well. They fit, as it's the kind of mood I was in.

The tuxie kitty is one of the pre-made ones that comes with the Puddy Cats template from Soxsational Scraps. I have the worst time trying to get that template to work for me. Perhaps I need to try it in PSP, as they seem to be easier to do there.

Skull Princess

Chibi,Princess,Gothic

In this tag our little Princess is holding one of the goth dolls from Calypso Design. She also has Biscuit along for company. The scraps are from the Skull Princess taggers kit from Bittersweet Designs, which I think is one of the kits she's retired. This is another tag that I had to do over several times to get a look I was happy with. The first time through it was too pink and way too bright.

Chibi for Sharon

Chibi,Kids Tags

This one was done for Sharon and it uses her "Mary" chibi and her "Lacy Ann" taggers kit. The little puppy comes from a template from Farrah's Creations that was very quick and easy to make. The Blue Oregon Alpha is by Barbara Lee.

Fabulous Rosie

Chibi,Princess,Kids Tags

It's always "Cracklin' Rosie" but the word art with the kit said Fabulous, so....

This uses the "If the tiara fits" taggers kit from Designs by Helly. The "Messy Denim" alpha is courtesy of C. Papier.

In looking at the way these are laid out on Photobucket, it's interesting to note the similarities between this Chibi and the "Lil Gothling" one in the post below.

Christmas Angel

Winter,Snow,Snowman,Happy Holidays,Chibi,Kids Tags

For some reason, this one seemed ot take for-ever to do. The scraps are from the Snow Cute (version 2) kit from Soxsational Scaps. The word art is from Bekah E. The mask is from Wee Scots Lass. I bought all the reissued kits but for the heck of it because "The Goodie Loft" had everything on sale for 88 cents as an introductory offer. I notice they do NOT have all of Krissy's kits in the store, although Sox's new Victoria Street accessory pack is a Boutique only issue.

I do not like the clip art as well in the second version. The clip art in the first version is much cuter. Ah Well...

Chibi Goth

Not surprisingly, Rowena did not like the "Lil Mischief" chibis but did like the "Cuddle Lady Bug". I can't say I'm partial to the cuddle bugs but we're playing to mixed audiences, sooo....

Twisted Gray

Chibi,Gothic,Emo

The "Lil Grey" chibi is (c) by Krissy's Scraps. I used the "Toxic" taggers kit from Soxsational Scraps for the tag material. It seemed like a natural fit, but didn't work out that way. I ended up fighting to get a descent look. I'm not overly pleased, but in the end, I'm not displeased either.

Razor Wire

Chibi,Gothic,Twilight

The "Lil Rebel" chibi is (c) by Krissy's Scraps - all the "LiL" series in this post are by her. The scraps are from the "Twilight" taggers kit by Grunge and Glitter which she says was inspired by the books/movies. Interestingly enough, there isn't a heart to be found in the kit and given the subject matter, I found that odd.

So I used a mask, I believe it was from Wee Scots Lass, to put a heart in the background. In the the end, I love the way this turned out, although Sisters of Mercy's "Ribbons" kept playing in the back of my mind while I was doing it, for some strange reason.

Lil Drummer Girl

Chibi,Gothic,Rock

I'm using the "Lil Rebel" chibi again. This time the scraps are from Honored Scraps' "Rock It, Roll It" taggers kit. I think this is a new release for them, but I got it for a buck during the Christmas sale at Treasured Scraps. There was a Digital Embellishment tube set I wanted that was 37 cents, and I hate to do paypal for less then a buck, so I snagged this kit while I was at it.

It also struck me as a little ironic to be doing this tag with this kit, as I've got the Blue Rocker and Pink Rocker kits from Krissy and probably should have used her own scrap kits with her chibi. Oh well. It was more an excuse to play with the "Rock it, Roll it" kit, which in the end I figure I'll use on and off with Sir Tristan.

Sweet Lil Gothling

Chibi,Gothic

The "Lil Gothling" chibi is (c) by Krissy's Scraps (of course) while the scraps are from "The Sweet Goths Sanctuary" taggers kit by Chaos Priestess. It's an interesting kit that has more of a fairy tale feel to it. I'll have to try it with some of the fairy posers I got from Shelly.

So, now that I've done the Gothic end of things, I'll turn my attention over to the sweet end of things.

More Elven Magic

I had intended to work on fairy tags last night, but I just wasn't feeling it, for some reason. So....

More elves which are (c) by Lacy Clagg, although this one is a little different from the last set.

Santa's Little Helper

Elves,Reindeer,Santa,Happy Holidays

That's right little elf, load that sleigh!

Scraps are from the "Christmas Bits" collection by C.C. Designs/Jack UR Scraps. The word art is courtesy of Cupcake Sprinkles by Caitlin.

I kind of really like the feltie stuff, but even their "small" papers were much larger than the usual tagger sized offerings.

Making a new friend

Elves,Snowman,Penguin,Winter,Snow

A snowman friend that is! Again, the scraps are from the Christmas Bits collection by C.C. Designs. The word art is by MW Designs.

While I was reading through the designer blogs this morning, there was a note on one blog in which some strange individual wrote "Just wondering what your little boy would say and think if he sees the nasty pics you post here?" I gather this elf would count as one of those nasty pics and I have to say, if you're really that prudish, what are you doing out in the world? I truly feel sorry for some of the crap these designers take from people for no good and apparent reason.

Cold Hands, Warm Heart

Elves,Winter,Snow

Leaving the felties behind, I went with the "Brrr Baby" freebie kit by Farrah's Creations. The word art is courtesy of Cupcake Sprinkles by Caitlin (again). Farrah's been confusing me because she keeps posting that she's having a $1 sale on all her stuff and I keep going over to DSLL and not seeing a sale. It seems she has a private store called Designer Scraps, which is where the sale is. This seems to be the latest rage, and I really don't like hoping from shop to shop to shop to buy things.

Anyway, the mask is from Wee Scots Lass as are all the masks used in the tags in this post.

Certified Nice

Elves,Santa,Happy Holidays

If your nice you get a pressie, and I don't know, if this little elf is part of the pressie, you might not be considered nice once you're done opening her. (At least, the prudish individual above would certainly think so.)

The scraps are from Yarrow's "Xmas Night" taggers kit, while the word art is courtesy of Scrappin' Obsessions.

Speaking of naughty and nice, a certain naughty tabby cat I know was quite distraught to find his "stash" had been relocated to a place he can't get to. Poor baby boy.

Your turn!

Elves,Happy Holidays,Winter,Snow

I really like the way this one turned out! The mask created a window effect, and I just sort of went with it. The scraps are from the Silent Night (version 1) kit from Soxsational Scraps, although since I don't use any of the clip art, either version would work. The light colored background paper is from the "Ice Warm" kit from Yarrow - the Silent Night kit didn't have a background that was light enough to make the piece work.

Party Thyme

Elves,Happy Holidays

Having partied with Sox, I moved over to Krissy's Scraps and the "Christmas Thyme" kit. I also used one of her "Christmas Thyme" dolls in the piece. The bar code word art comes from Kanela's Xpressions.

Krissy and Sox have opened their own store as well, jumping onto the designer specific bandwagon. It's called "The Goodie Loft" and you can find it HERE.
