I resolve (Part 2)....

Rascal

Happy New Year,Tabby Cat

The Scraps are from the FTU "Happy New Years" kit from Bluedream Designs, a kit she admits that she was not overly enthusiastic about. So some of the additional scraps - the bottle and glass for example - came from the New Year's Elements Grag Bag from Mischief Designz, which sent items along in both gold and gray scale for you to use. The "Gold" alpha is from Andjelina's Designs, while the word art is courtesy of Cupcake Sprinkles.

Theo

Tuxi Cat,Happy New Year

The scraps and the word art are from the Taggers Scraps New Years Bash Collaboration kit. The "Red Glitter" alpha is from 4 my Babies Scraps. This just worked out well because Theo always looks so surprised, so having him pop his top just seem natural.

Titus

Dog,Happy New Year

I scrapped out Titus using the "2009" tagger kit from Creationz by Jo. The "Gold Swirl" alpha is from Free Digital Scrapbooking.

Tripper

Tabby Cat,Happy New Year

Ah...the life of the party has arrived. The scraps are from the "A Teddy New Year" taggers kit by Soxsational Scraps, while the "Isle of Misfit Toys" alpha is from Free Digital Scrapbooking. It just seemed appropriate for him. The "Clock" word art is by Karina.

Sox and Krissy are having a promotion on their new store, The Goodie Loft, where with every purchase this month you get entered into a lottery for a $10 gift card at the end of the month. I don't know if the purchases I made to date count or not!

Victor

Burmese Cat,Happy New Year

This ended up being my favorite piece of the set, largely because Victor looks like he's six sheets to the wind in the photo, and I got to scrap him holding a glass of bubbly.

The scraps are from the "Kiss me at Midnight" taggers kit from DMK Designs, although knowing Victor, it's unlikely that he waited for midnight to start kissing. The Black Grunge alpha is by DreamsFulfilled. The 2009 word art is by Lindsay Jane Designs.

Zed Monster

Siamese Cat,Happy New Year

Only a Mancat can party like a Mancat and only one Mancat can party like ol' Zeddie does. The scraps are from the "New Years Bash" collaboration kit from Taggers Scraps. The "Baby it's Cold Outside" alpha is courtesy of Designs by Karyn, while the Satin Gold alpha is from Free Digital Scrapbooking.

Hope he had some hangover remedy available for the next day!

Banner and Guest List

Banner,Guest List

Sorry, no bonus kitty. it would have been Diamond, but I already did the write up on her tag. The banner was done using the "Celebrate 2009" taggers kit by Heartbeatz Creationz, who also gave us the Cutie Dragon. They've released a Cutie Dragon Set 2, which looks like the same poses, just recolored. Since I didn't note otherwise, I assume the alpha and word art came from the kit - I know alpha and word art were included.

KairinaKat 4-some

A few more tags featuring the posers of KairinaKat Kreations:

Amber Fae

Amber Fae

Amber Fae

Amber's kind of a pastel girl. I used the Watercolor collaboration from Creative Scraps. It's under the Collaboration section and is marked down to $2.50, and it's a great deal for the price. I mean, if I have to deal with pastels, I'd rather it be of the blue/purple/green varieties.

The jeweled pin in the heart shaped box is from the Valentine's Bling Collection, from Kairinakat Kreations, which also available a Creative Scraps (as is Amber).

Amber 2 was actually a piece of cut and paste serendipity. I'm not adverse to changing a design in mid-creation if something suddenly works really good, and this did. Amber was not supposed to be that big but she pasted in that size and I loved it, so I stuck with it.

Julia

The Julia posers are also new from (c) KairinaKat Kreations and come in either a two pack color combo for $1.50, or you can buy the whole lot in one big mix pack for $4.50. For me, more is always better, so I took the mix pack.

Julie at Midnight

Julie at Midnight

I used the "Midnight Whispers" taggers kit which is also from Shelly at KairinaKat Kreations. I'm sorry I've put off using it for as long as I did. It's a really pretty kit and I enjoy the color combo. I needs to experiment a bit more with it I think, but that's okay, I'm not running short of posers to use with it. LOL!

Aliens!

I'd been e-mailing Gail at Aussie Scrap Design, and she sent me some space ships to use for tags for the boys. I'm not sure if they are a bit too high tech for their age level or not (dad certainly likes them), but it did remind me I had some alien posers. The problem is, I never have anything to scrap them with, but that was also solved for me, as Aussie Scrap Store has a "My Alien" taggers kit from Connie's Creative Chaos.

The Aliens are (c) by Lacy Clagg and are freebies that you can get at the LC Tube Store.

The alpha comes with the kit, and while I'm not all that keen about it, I was being unimaginative as well. I think if I had them orbiting around like asteroids....

Alien Justin

Alien Justin

I think I have two more of these little critters, so I'll have to work on the asteroid idea. I mean...they really kind of look a like - don't they?

Owen

Gail has also been learning Poser/Daz3D and has been subjecting treating us to the products of her learning experience. She made a chibi, which she said was naked and bald for three days - I thought that was kind of appropriate. Isn't that how we all come into the world?

She finally got hair and a swimsuit on her, so I used the collab kit from the Aussie Scrap Store to send her down to the beach:

Nana at the beach

Fun stuff, eh?

I think she needs waterproof mascara though.

I Resolve...

To get these tags posted in a more timely fashion for the New Year. Yeah. Right.

1. Boni

Happy New Year,Tuxi Cat

Putting the flowers into the paper cup proved to be a bit of an experience, but everything else was straight forward. The Scraps are from the "2009" kit from Creationz by Jo. The After Dusk alpha is by Flower Scraps, and the "Celebrate" word art is courtesy of Evercila.

2. Bono

Happy New Year,Domestic Shorthair

Bono is the newest member of Team Tabby. since I did Mindy and Mo the week before, it was his turn. The scraps are from the "Kiss me at Midnight" kit from DMK Designs except for the hat, which is courtesy of the Maltese Scrapper. The Purple Coat alpha was a FTU set from Scrap Alpha.

It wasn't the best hat, but it was the best I could do given the angle of his head.

3. Camie

Happy New Year,Dog

There was a New Year's blog train, but I only snagged two kits off of it since I didn't need another huge New Year's collab. So the scraps are from Laura's Designs. The Fireworks were taken from the Taggers Scraps' "New Years Bash" Collab, while the White Grunge alpha is courtesy of Dreamsfulfilled.

4. Harley

Bi-colored Cat,Happy New Year

Being a kitten, Harley was only allowed to celebrate with sparkling soda waters. The scraps are from another car off the New Year's Blog Train, this time from Funky Fever. The Foil Cap Alpha is from Snowmoon Designs.

5. Jake

Happy New Year,Tabby Cat

Jake is celebrating using the "Teddy New Year" taggers kit from Soxsational Scraps. The green glitter alpha was a FTU set from 4 my Babies Scraps.

6. Jasper McKitten Cat

Happy New Year,Tabby Cat

I returned to the Taggers Scraps "New Years Bash" collab for this tag. The "Satin Gold" alpha is from Free Digital Scrapbooking.

7. Joba

Happy New Year,Tabby Cat

Joba was the troublesome little brat that drove Jeter Harris out of his home and into the snow The scraps, alpha and word art are from the "Celebrate 2009" kit by Heartbeatz Creationz, except for the hat, which I got from the Bluedream Design's New Years kit and recolored. The Glitter Splats are by Calypso Designs.

I do so lover glitter splats!

So that's the first seven of our New Years. Don't forget to visit Diamond's New Years Bash for this week's T-13: Country Cats!

Punk isn't Dead

Caitlin (Cupcake Sprinkles) had put out a FTU kit called "Punk isn't Dead", which she says was inspired by her daughter. Punk my not be dead, but all of the pioneers of the so called Second British Invasion are all middle-aged and balding, and probably spreading out a bit around the middle as well.

So "punk" reunion tours kind of scare me.

However, I had great fun with the kit! Much thanks to Caitlin for putting it out (not to mention all the wonderful word art I've gotten from her site.) The Punk Poser is (c) by Lacy Clagg and is available at the LC Tube Store. She had two Punk packs, I need to buy the other one to, as well as a pair of Hippy packs. Lacy really needs to have another sale. ::sigh::

The Clash

I was rather disturbed to find out that there is a Glasgow School of Rock where they will teach you to smash guitars. I'm sure The Clash never had the benefit of such schooling, but my they were a fun bunch of guys.

The lamp post is from Soxsational Scraps, part of her Victorian Street element pack.

David Bowie

Bowie was not punk, but was certainly the driving force behind most of the bands from that era. Of course his work is still considered some of the most influential in modern rock.

The Glitter Bracket was a blog freebie from Farrah's Creations. If the copyrights look weird, I apologize, but I was fighting with the text tool again on all these tags. Some days we get along fine and other days....

The Ramones

No outside goodies on this one, except for the Ramones. I was working for WOZN down in the Keys and was playing some Ramones towards the end of my shift when the station manager jumped into the sound booth and started playing air guitar -- try to open the mic and NOT giggle after some thing like that.

The Sex Pistols

I snagged the safety pin from Bluedream Designs. I get paper clips but no safety pins? I don't think Punk would have survived it's early evolution without safety pins!

One of the things I remember best about that whole era was all these bands having releases on indy labels that they we then hunted down through various record stores in the import section so we could take them home and "read" them. Not the liner notes. The actual records.

They'd engrave little messages in to the plates before the records was pressed and it would end up on the inner run off track just before you got to the label. An example, as found on an Elvis Costello 45 RPM was the message "Elvis is king!" on side A. Flip it over, and on the back, you'd find "Elvis is king on this side too!" Not the most profound stuff, but occasionally you run into something really interesting.

See what the kids are missing out on these days? You can't hide messages on an IPod.

Holly Daze - Vol. 2, Part 2

I figure if I do one part of these a day, I might get semi-caught up by the end of the week.

Smudge

Oh Christmas Smudge, Oh Christmas Smudge

The Smudge was just sitting there in photo ... wider at the bottom, narrower at the top and those glowing lights. Yup...he was destined to be a Christmas Tree.

I used the "O Christmas Tree" kit from Candy's Treats. Sadie Elf and the 3D pressies are from Calypso Designs, while the Ornament Alpha is courtesy of Sugar Mama Scraps.

Moe

Moe

This uses the original version of the "Snow Cute" kit from Soxsational Scraps, the one that had the clip art replaced in. I love that Santa Moon. Unfortunately that vanished in the re-released version.

As above, the Gold Ornament Alpha is from Sugar Mama Scraps.

Mindy

Mindy

We get such great shots of Moe and Mindy - and now Bono - at Team Tabby, that I have to include them from time to time!

I used the "Krafty Christmas" kit from Urban Mermaid for this layout. While I am looking forward to a release of "Fairy Dreams in the Spring" I don't want to see it too soon either.

I just noticed I managed to leave Mindy's name off the tag. Whatever was I thinking? Shame on me! Bad me!

Hershey

Hershey

This came out soooooo cute! I used the "Scotty" kit from Farrah's Creations. The stocking was from the "Christmas Bits" FTU collection by C.C. Designs/Jacked Ur Scraps, while the alpha is from Scrappin' Cop. The little clip art cat in the bulb is from Designs by Sue and can be purchased from the Aussie Scrap Store.

Chase No Face

Chase No Face

Chase was in a horrific accident as a 4-month old kitten that ripped her face off and took one of her back legs as well. She's as healed up as she's ever going to get and she's in no pain (all the experts agree), and is quite a happy kitty too.

She works as a therapy cat to help people who have been in similar situations come to terms with the changes to their lives.

As she is quite the Christmas Angel, I used the "Angel Kiss" taggers kit from Baby Cakes Scraps for this, while the little poser is from Brandi's Creations. The Alpha is courtesy of Bizee 1 Digi-Arts. Chase's halo was taken from the "Heaven & Hell" taggers kit from Untamed Angel.

Billy Sweetfeets

Billy Sweetfeets

This is another one that turned out too cute! The scraps are from the "Christmas Magic" taggers kit from Silent Dreamer. The "Red Glitter" alpha is courtesy of 4 My Babies Scraps, while the "Christmas Robin" was compliments of Heavenly Crafts.

And Billy Sweetfeets is of course - well Billy Sweetfeets!

Badge & Guest List

The scraps are from the "Blinged Out Christmas" taggers kit from Creationz by Jo, while Donkey is part of a poser pack from Untamed Angel. The "Aged Shimmering" alpha is from Linda Walton of Bon Scrapatit Designs.

Bonus kitty: Miss Diamond

Miss Diamond's Magikal Night

I used the "Magikal Winter" taggers kit from Chaos Priestess. The trees are from Scrappy Sheila, as I didn't feel like making my own, while the reindeer ornaments were a pressie from Mrs. Homer Lynn. The sleigh, which you can just see a bit of, is from Gail at Aussie Scraps Designs.

So that finishes off Christmas, and tomorrow I can start on New Years! Also tomorrow, Miss Diamond is premiering T-13: Country Cats so be sure to stop by Diamond's Lair for all the fun! It's all done, I just need to do the banner and guest list. Maybe I'll use donkey again! LOL!

New Beginnings

The January Collaboration from Creative Scraps is called "New Beginnings" and while I'm not crazy about the color scheme - not being a pastel sort of person - the kit is free with a $5 purchase.

Originally, I had planned to use the Peach Fantasy Fae from KairinaKat Kreations, much as I had with the Lavender Fae and the US4T collab, but it just wasn't working for me.

Then Shelly released "Pauline in Green", which worked much, much, much better. So all the Pauline Fae posers are (c) by KairinaKat Kreations and the scraps are from the "New Beginnings" collab and you can get everything in one quick stop at Creative Scraps!

Pauline in Green

Pauline in Green

The "Scripted Jewels" alpha is from Bizee 1 Digi-Arts.

Pauline in Green

There's some really interesting butterflies in this collab. This is one of them, as it the one I used in the first tag.

Pauline in Green

Lynne is Baby Cakes Scraps and co-owner of Creative Scraps. I love all her kits. The Green Glitter alpha is courtesy of Free Digital Scrapbooking and is one of their Halloween Alphas.

There is a gothic version of Pauline that has also been released, and ChaDesignz has already released a kit called "My Gothic Lover" that makes use of her.

Holly Daze - Vol. 2, Part 1

I had been putting off doing the write up on the second half of Holly Daze because of the bandwidth issue, but as we've bought Photobucket Pro, it's no longer as issue, so...

1. Princess Dakota

Princess Dakota

I used the "Girly Xmas" taggers kit by Cinnamon Scraps for Dakota and I thought it turned out quite well. The little Christmas Kitty clip art is courtesy of Barb Derksen, while the Santa Hat is from Goretty Rocha, as is any and all Santa related headwear in this project.

The "Frosty" alpha is courtesy of Krakutuka. I was a freebie that Digifree found for me, and quickly became one of my favorites.

2. Rosie

Rosie

Rosie is scrapped using the "Spirit of Christmas" taggers kit from Creationz by Jo. The "White Christmas" alpha is from Delicious Scraps. I'd tried to put some head wear on her, or a ribbon or something, but it wasn't working. So she gets to be shown off her natural beauty.

3. Maximillion

Maximillion

Max is one of Dr. Tweeties Fab-five. I had the pic for a while and couldn't remember what blog he was associated with. But I finally figured it out.

The scraps from the "Xmas Night" taggers kit from Yarrow, the wreath came from Brandi's Creations, from the "Christmas Gold" kit. The Aged Shimmering alpha is from Linda Walton at Bon Scrapatit Designs.

The little Christmas cat ornament was a Digifree download and again, either didn't come with a credit or I some how lost it, but I don't know who did those. They're really cute though. I TRY to keep track of this stuff, but it's hard. And if you're doing the work, wouldn't you want to at least put your name on the preview?

4. Lightning

Lightning

The scraps are from the "Ho!Ho!Ho!" taggers kit from Soxsational Scraps as was the "Elfie" poser. Both are blog freebies. The "Isle of Misfit Toys" alpha is from Free Digital Scrapbooking. They also have a matching font available for it. I just recently discovered their font downloads and snagged quick a few, I'll have to go back one weekend and collect the rest.

5. Laila

Laila

Laila was laying in a cardboard box. At first I'd left her in the box and was planning on "wrapping" it, but that wasn't working for me, so I cut her out of that box and put her in another one.

I used the "Sleigh Bells" taggers kit from Candy's Treats, who also provided the Icy Snow alpha, which is a freebie available on her blog. The Ice Fae is courtesy of Brandi's Creations while the big snowflake in the background was from SheDevil Designs.

6. Jeter Harris

The Grate Jeter Harris

I thought this turned out really nice and that Jeter looked quite dapper. The scraps are from the "Grungy Xmas" taggers kit by Yarrow. The hat comes to us courtesy of the Maltese Scrapper, while the Sleigh Bell is from Kissed by Pix.

The "Black" alpha is from Dreamsfulfilled.

Jeter reminds me a lot of Tristan or Tristan reminds me a lot of Jeter, although their faces are quite different.

7. Elsie

Miss Elsie - revised

I ended up doing this one twice. Eslie has a heart shaped marking on her tummy. It wasn't really clear from the shot, so I helped her out a bit.

The scraps are from "A Gothorian Xmas" taggers kit from Chaos Priestess. The Jingles are from Brandi's Creations, while the Purple Ornament alpha was a freebie from Sugar Mama Scraps, one of the December give-away of the day promo.

We got lots of freebies in December, it was fun!

Miss Elsie - Original

This was the original piece I did, using the first version of the "Snow Cute" kit from Soxsational Scraps. This was one of the kits that was recalled and the clip art replaced.

The little Rufus Bear is (c) Angel's Tubes and is/was a freebie, while the "Aged Shimmering" alpha is from Linda Walton and Bon Scrapatit Designs as mentioned above.

Cats on Tuesday - More catnapping

Cats on Tuesday

Cats sleep in the weirdest spots. Despite having a nice comfy sectional and couch, all sorts of cat tents, cuddles and kitty kwilts, Diamond had shoved herself in a very small spot the other day on an uneven surface and fell sound asleep. Couldn't have been comfortable.

She likes sleeping the cabinet over the fridge, that's her little haven.

Miss Diamond

Tristan on the other paw has been trying to take over the top of the bookcase. I finally removed the basket with the cat attracting objects in them, but when I walked into the bedroom on Saturday, he was lying, every awkwardly across the stack of photo albums, with his head on the bottom and his butt in the air. I finally gave up, and cleaned off the top of the bookcase for him - more or less.

Sir Tristan

Looks comfy don't he. I've since had to relocate the candles, as they were getting ready to fall on the ground.

Sir Tristan

He did look quite concerned when Diamond came in the bedroom last night as I was reading. I think part of the problem is she keeps denying him places to sleep, on the basis that, if he can't sleep in the house, he'll have to leave.

Sir Tristan

We did have another bout of togetherness last night. I'm hoping that if I can get them used to eating treats together and getting their ears rubbed together while they're eating, they start to associate each other with pleasant experiences and grow to like each other more.

Perhaps I hope in vane.

Happy New Year from Miss Diamond

I used the "2009" taggers kit from Creationz by Jo to do Diamond's blog layout and profile picture. I'm not 100% happy with the blog layout and feel I need to de-congest it a bit, especially if I'm going to apply it to her Xanga Blog.

The profile picture was an attempt to put a black cat on a black background and wasn't totally unsuccessful. Now that I've learned, not only to color in glitter, but write in it as well, I don't actually have to resort to an alpha to do the names. If you look close, I colored her color in gold glitter for the New Year!
