April Showers

Aside from the one big Thunderstorm we had on Sunday, we've not had much rain, but that's about normal for Florida for this time of the year. Unlike the Northern climates, we don't see a lot of rain until late May or June when our rainy season - also known as Hurricane Season - kicks in.

However, I wanted to do a set of April Showers tags, and I finally sat down and did them last night, using my Blooming Bears taggers kit, which was my contribution to the April Goodie Train. "April" is (c) by Lacy Clagg, although some of the elements used in the third tag - the rain drips and the umbrella - were part of last April's Fr33bie at the LCTS.

Blooming Bears has everything you need to make your May flowers grow, including April rain! Of course you still need to do the seeding and weeding...

The great word art is from Ginger's House, and was one of the reasons I wanted to put together some April Shower tags. LOL!

Water Splashes would have worked well in this one. CBJ just released some CU WaterDrops...I think that's something I'll need to invest in. The package is available at Creative Scraps.

I was really pleased with the bows and the butterflies. The masks on the first three tags were all from Wee Scots Lass. The realistic flowers were a CU product from Scrappin Cop - she took the pictures at Busch Gardens during her recent Florida vacation and then tubed them. So they're realistic FLORIDA flowers, LOL!

The mask on this one is from Cameron's Tags, part of her ocean collection. I like the way it recreates the water drop ripple effect.

Speaking of Creative Scraps, they are giving away one part of a mega collab kit each day starting April 1st and ending on Easter. You need to stop by each day to collect the next part of the collab, which is in full size (you may script it down to taggers if you wish). 20 designers came together to make the kit. If you miss any of the pieces, they will be available for sale in the store.

Be sure to stop by and get in on the fun!
