It had warmed up earlier in the week and while I was photo shopping Tristan onto Captiva Island, I realized I missed the real thing. So...I figured, since it had warmed up earlier in the week, to go take a stroll this weekend.
Forget it. It rained on Thursday and today it's freezing again.
The scraps in this tag are from Soxsational Scraps "Pirates Life" kit. The Black Epoxy Alpha is from Free Digital Scrapbooking.
Land Ho
Land Ho also uses the "Pirates Life" taggers kit from Soxsational Scraps. The Pirate Gal and her rat companion are (c) by Lacy Clagg. Ratmama has some better rats on her House of Ratz blog, but you have to be careful about that missing tubes clause in the artists TOS.
Most of the clip art in the kit is provided as stickers. If you use the edge fading tool, you can get rid of the white border and the "sticker" look.
Pirate Babe
The Pirate Gal and her dog (this time) are (c) by Lacy Clagg. The Pirate Gal is a PTU tube set, the animals - there are three, the dog, the rat, and a parrot - are a freebie download.
The scraps are provided by Yarrow's "A Pirate's Life" kit, which I think does a wonderful job of giving you a "Pirates of the Caribbean" taggers kit (sans Captain Jack).
That may be the case for Pirates IV as a well, as I've hear that Johnny Depp has declined to reprise his role as Jack Sparrow in the next installment.
Pretty Dirty Pirates
The pirates posers from the free download area at Ultimate Fantasy Designs and are (c) by UFDesigns.
The scraps came from the "Pretty Dirty Pirate" taggers kit by Kirsty's Scraps. That is pretty much a stand alone kit, Kirsty did a sister kit for it that could use a little help. That one is...
Shiver Your Timbers
"Shiver your Timbers" was supposed to be the sister kit to "Pretty Dirty Pirates" and works better, IMHO, if you combine the two kits. The color theme is obviously designed to appeal to girls.
The Pirate in this piece is (c) by Incognito1967 and is part of her PTU Pirate Pack I. The skull and bottle stickers were from a FTU sticker pack put out by Kristen's Wicked Scraps.
The lace border is from the "Pretty Dirty Pirate" kit. I was trying to minimize the mixing but I didn't have what I felt was a suitable border in the "Shiver me Timbers" set.
The Beach is Blind Pass Beach on Captiva Island at sunset. And if that doesn't make you want to go to the beach, I don't know what would.
