Rocket Warrior

Rocket Warrior is the Collab kit that was put together by Simply Beautiful Scraps and Exquisite Scraps to help pay for the cost of surgery and treatment for Kieryn, the 17 year old son of Krissy (a.k.a. Krissy's Scraps) who was recently diagnosed with a life threatening form of Cancer.

Krissy and family live in New Zealand, and much like Australia, the skin cancers tend to be prevalent as we've managed to cut a hole in the ozone layer. Kieryn's surgery was scheduled for Wednesday, 25 of the March. There's been no update on either Krissy or Sox's site. The kit is taggers sized and is available for $4 from either store.

It's also very nicely put together with all the papers in one part, the frames in another, the alphas and the word arts...basically what I do with a collab before I get ready to use it. Except that I didn't have to do all that much work and I didn't have to resize.

Posers were another problem. I think Angel of Angel's Free Tubes had once upon a time had several sets of "Sam" posers available, but no more. It's hard enough to come by tubes with men in them, boys are even harder. In the end I settled on the LD Aika Toon poser pack from Lisa's Design which are "toon" girls.

You don't have to go with the basketball theme. There is enough urban grunge in the kit that you can completely ignore the hoops elements and still do some wonderful tags, but I sort of wanted to go with the sports theme for this set of tags.

There are a set of basketball player silhouettes in the kit, so if you don't want to go the tube route, you can play with those.

Again, basketball is optional and it's a great kit for a the price. Especially if you like grunge of any type, but especially the urban variety. I might have to try this with a couple Corsentino's tubes. And since I didn't have to resize, I might even do a tute.

My best wishes to Krissy and her family as they go through this difficult time and here's hoping that Kieryn makes a complete recovery.

Skin cancer is a very big problem here in humans as well as animals. Why I always comment on pink nosed animals staying out of the sun.
